With limited retail space we have curated a selection of notable fiction by some of our favourite authors along with a smattering of non-fiction books on interests
beyond the frame.
If you don’t see what you are looking for here, we would be happy to special order for you from any genre for pick up or mail order.
Friction Books was launched in 2021 by Nova Scotia musician, Joel Plaskett, as part of the building that houses the studio, Fang Recording. The shop is managed by local songwriter, Alexander Gallant. It is also home the occasional Window Inn Wednesday.
The Friction logo was created by R.M. Kraatz. We are pleased to showcase her books and art in the shop and here on this site.
